  • What is organic fermentation, and how is it applied to the products?

    All Whamisa products are infused with organic ferment filtrates derived from the traditional method of fermentation. Fermentation is the key to breaking down large, complex compounds into smaller, simple molecules, allowing ingredients more readily available to be absorbed into the skin. This way, the smaller, simplified nanoparticles can penetrate the skin at a deeper level by amplifying its nutritional benefits. Moreover, during fermentation, it creates new beneficial nutrients for the skin, such as beta-carotene, protein, vitamins, and minerals, and enhances the potency of existing nutrients even further.

  • Is Whamisa cruelty-free and vegan?

    Yes, all of our products are free of animal-derived ingredients, and we do not test on the animal at any stage from development to finished products.

  • Is Whamisa organic certified?

    Yes we are BDIH/COSMOS-organic and natural certified. BDIH (Association of German Industries and Trading Firms) is a German-based organization. Its guidelines cover raw materials from plant & mineral, animal protection, and reject the use of organic-synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, silicones, paraffin, and other petroleum-based products.

  • Are Whamisa products gluten-free?

    Not all products are gluten-free. All skincare and body care products in Organic Flowers and Organic Fruits range are gluten-free. However, our hair care and special skincare treatment products from the Organic Seeds range contain barley seed extract and barley seed ferment filtrate. Here is the list of products that contain barley:

  • Are Whamisa products formulation clean?

    We only use 100% naturally-derived ingredients, including our natural preservatives, and we avoid the use of any controversial, harmful, artificial, and synthetic ingredients. To find out more, please visit our 'About' page.

  • Are Whamisa products suitable for sensitive skin?

    Our products are generally suitable for sensitive skin. However, since our products are all-natural and organic, we use natural preservatives that may be slightly irritating to someone new to using clean and organic products. In addition to preventing microbial/fungal growth and oxidation, natural preservatives are used to fill in tiny microscopic gaps between oil and water molecules to prevent water, light contamination effectively. For some people, especially if you are a newbie in the clean beauty world, it takes a few days for your skin to get used to it.   • Are Whamisa products fragrance-free?

    We are free of synthetic fragrance/perfume, however, our products are infused with high-quality essential oils at a small dose to provide a sensorial aromatherapy experience.

  • Are Whamisa products packaging recyclable and sustainable?

    We anatomized each part of the materials and printed recyclability on the packaging. Our cartons are made with upcycled sugarcane pulp, which is recyclable and biodegradable, printed with eco-friendly and biodegradable soy ink. Most of our skincare packaging is glass, utilizing 25% recycled PCR glass, with an oxo-biodegradable and recyclable plastic cap. Our plastic bottles and jars are recyclable as well. Pumps are challenging to recycle, and it is optional for our body/hair products. Pumps are sold separately, and we donate their sales toward neutralizing our impact. Instead, it comes with a reclaimed wood holder to store it up-side-down for more convenient use.

  • What is oxo-biodegradable?

    Oxo-biodegradable plastic is a type of plastic made with bio-additives, such as starch, to help oxidize and decompose. It fully degrades in a landfill within six years, and the degradation process does not release methane. Oxo-biodegradable plastics are 100% recyclable as well.

  • Do you have a recommended product storage?

    Our natural formula is sensitive to direct sunlight. Please avoid direct sunlight and store our products in a cool, shaded space. Suppose our products are exposed to direct sunlight for a prolonged period. In that case, it may result in a slight change of color, which doesn't affect the shelflife, efficacy, or delivery of the formulation.

Shipping & Returns

  • Where does Whamisa ship to?

    We currently ship to all 50 US states and all US territories. We currently do not ship to Canada. Whamisa is available in 28 countries worldwide, so please contact your local retails that carry Whamisa or contact us at cs@us.whamisa.com if you need help finding your local retail contact.

  • When will my order ship?

    We process and ship all orders within 1-2 business days once the orders are confirmed. Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information via email.

  • Can I modify or cancel my order?

    Unfortunately, we cannot modify your order once you receive your order confirmation. We will try our best to accommodate any modification if not shipped yet, such as wrong shipping address, so please email us at cs@us.whamisa.com.

  • Can I return my order for a full refund for a change-of-mind?

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

    A refund will be issued once we have received your returned items. Refund will be given in the same form of payment as the original purchase.

    Shipping costs are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, and we will deduct a shipping charge from the total refund.

  • Can I return my order if products are defective?

    Please email us your order number and proof of defect at cs@us.whamisa.com. if you have any issues with the products you've received.

  • How much time do I have to return or report issues?

    Any order/product issues must be reported to cs@us.whamisa.com within 15 business days from its delivery date.

  • What if I already have a Whamisa account?

    You have automatically been enrolled in the Whamisa Rewards program. Any purchases made since you made an account will be automatically reflected in your Rewards account.

  • Where do I check how many points I have?

    After signing in, please click the ‘Whamisa Beauty Rewards’ badge located on the bottom right of our website to see how many points you’ve got.

  • I completed an action that should’ve earned points, but they aren’t showing up.

  • How and where do I refer a friend to get a discount?

    After signing in, please click the ‘Whamisa Beauty Rewards’ badge located on the bottom left of our website. When you scroll down, you’ll see a referral URL to forward to your friend.

  • Do my Rewards points ever expire?

    Yes. Whamisa Rewards Points are eligible for redemption up to twelve (12) months from the date they are originally earned. For example, if you earn 100 points in March 2021, they will be valid for redemption until March 2022. Please make sure you spend your points within the twelve (12) month validity period to retain your balance.

  • Do my Rewards discount have codes expiration date?

    Unless otherwise specified, rewards points do not have an expiration date. Just be sure you’re shopping with the same account/email each time.

  • Can I use my rewards discount code in conjunction with another promo code?

    No, you can only use one code per order. Discount codes don't stack.

  • Is there a limit to how many product reviews I can earn points for?

    No, there’s no limit. If it is a verified purchase, which means the product is purchased from the official website (us.whamisa.com), you will earn 100 points immediately once you submit/post a product review.

  • I am already following @whamisa_us instagram account. How do I verify that to get points?

    You can still get points if you are already a follower. To verify, please click ‘Whamisa Beauty Rewards’ badge. Go to ‘Ways to earn’ and click ‘follow’.

  • Could my tier be downgraded to a lower tier after Point Deduction?

    The tier placement would be based on your yearly points earned. So your level wouldn’t drop down in tier for redeeming your points, it would just be about hitting that amount of points in total on a yearly basis. Remember, the higher tier you are in, the faster you can earn points per dollar spent!

  • Can I redeem multiple times within a transaction?

    No. You can only redeem one offer in a given redemption transaction.
